Kaolin
Product Introduction
Kaolin is a kind of clay and clay rock which is dominated by kaolinite clay mineral. It belongs to nonmetallic ore, and its hardness is 3~5 in Mohs. Because it is white and exquisite, it is also known as dolomite. Due to the name of Gaoling village in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province, it is soft soil with good plasticity and fire resistance. Its mineral is mainly composed of kaolinite, halloysite, hydromica, illite, montmorillonite, quartz and feldspar. It is widely used in papermaking, ceramics and refractories.
Technical Process
The kaolin powder is generally divided into four types: kaolin coarse powder processing, fine powder processing, super fine powder deep processing and micro powder processing.
Massive kaolin is crushed into the feeding size (15mm-40mm) which can enter the mill by crusher. After crushing, small kaolin is transported to the stock bin by elevator . Then it is sent to grinding chamber of the grinder uniformly and quantitatively by vibrating feeder for grinding. After grinding, the material is graded by powder concentrator. After grading, the unqualified powder will return to main engine for regrinding. The powders which meet the fineness are piped into dust collector with airflow for separation and collection. The collected final powders are sent to final products stock bin from discharge hole by conveying device. Then they are packed by powder tank or automatic packing machine together.
