Different processing projects need different machines and machine prices vary from machine to machine. Many people new to mining industry know nothing about machine selection. Selected machine meets all requirement but exceeds practical needs will wast money. Today, I’ll teach you machine selection. Taking crusher as an example, we should clear about following points:
1.What’s the raw material? What’s the size and hardness of raw material?
Different machines have different feeding size and large machines have relatively bigger input size and higher yield. And when its capacity exceeds practical need, the machine should be changed.
Input size has certain influence on capacity. Big input size can be fed more materials at one time so that it has higher efficiency and capacity, needs less production time and saves more power.
Raw material hardness affects machine’s efficiency. When processing soft materials, machine runs faster while processing hard materials, machine needs to crushing two times or more to meet required particle size.
Besides, materials hardness also has influences on machine’s vulnerable parts. Soft materials will lengthen vulnerable parts’ service life saving cost.
2.What’s the finished product size? What’s the daily capacity? What’s the site area? And what price can I accept?
Different crusher has different capacity. Large crusher’s hourly capacity is times higher than that of small crushers. Sometime, a small crusher can not reach your need, so you have to add another crusher. And if the total price of two small crushers is higher than a big crusher, we should buy one big crusher only. Viewing from area occupation, a big heavy hammer can integrate three stages crushing into one stage, which significantly saves area. But in the light of price, three stages machines need less money than a big heavy hammer. Therefore, specific equipment selection is based on personal reality.
Different crushing ability leads to different discharging particles. For instance, the discharging particle size is 10-40 mesh of PE150 x 250 while that of PE500 x 750 is 50-100 mesh. In fact, different machine has different input size and power and you should select machines from your own needs and practice.
